Frequently asked questions about cellulite
How much treatment is necessary and is success permanent?
Primary treatment covers 3-10 meetings at 60 minutes each depending upon the severity of the problem. Success is visible for many months and even years. We recommend a "revitalization treatment" one to two times annually.

Are additional lotions and ointments or further physical measures necessary?
In our opinion, the predominant number of cosmetic products and the untrained use of medical instruments do not have long lasting success. In most cases, we are against the use of these measures to accompany therapy.

Can liposuction be avoided?
It is possible that small pads of fat can regress by use of this therapy. Otherwise, our cellulite treatment can be seen as an addition to liposuction.
FAQ

Cellulite treatment

Besides hormonal influences, weak connective tissue and/or a special connective tissue structure are the main causes of cellulite. Particularly after beginning to take the contraceptive pill or after pregnancies the first signs of discreet skin irregularities may be seen. Due to its similarity with the surface of a ripe orange, one frequently names this “orange skin”. Almost a third of European women experience this problem, albeit at different levels.

In the first stage, these skin changes are only noticeable if you push the skin together with both hands. The next stage shows permanently visible changes in the skin surface of the stomach, buttocks and thighs. In the third stage, the characteristics of “orange skin” are very distinct. Skin massaging can be very painful.

There is an excess supply of cosmetic articles and medical products on the market designed for the treatment of this cellulite. However, the inappropriate application of certain devices (e.g. massage balls) can often damage the skin surface. Among the consequences are varicose veins and tearing of the skin.

After many years experience, the only sensible and long-term effective method in the battle against cellulite is a modified form of connective tissue massage.

Therapeutic procedure
Classical massage techniques do not achieve the desired long-term effect. Our long-standing successfully performed methods are influenced by a combination of purification (removal of fat); compress bandaging and the deliberate application of individual connective tissue massage techniques on the reflexive internal organ courses. We can thereby achieve both a visual improvement of the skin’s structure and a reduction in the extent of the cellulite. Measurements and digital photography can confirm this change before and after the therapy.

The following effects can be achieved:

  • Tautening of the skin
  • Removal of tissue fluid
  • Stimulation of blood circulation
  • Stimulation of the metabolism
  • Strengthening of the connective tissue
  • Stabilization of the subcutaneous fatty tissue

A thinning of the sclera (stretch marks) can be seen as a positive side effect.

Therapy should not be undertaken, or in some cases, only conditionally with the following illnesses or conditions:

  • Pregnancy
  • Menstruation
  • Thyroid gland diseases
  • Infections
  • Varicose veins in the thighs
  • Lymphatic (fluid containing white blood cells) drainage problems
  • Medicinal factors (cortisone)
  • Open wounds
  • Scar contractions (after operations)
  • After hysterectomies
  • Sunburn

An accompanying diet or stamina sports are not necessary during the treatment!

However, regular participation in a special training program can help therapy and lead to quicker effects.
